LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville hometown hero EthanAlmighty will be featured on the label of a rare bourbon release.

It's a collaboration between the famous dog and Mr. & Mrs. Bourbon Company, according to a news release.

"This has been in the works for over six months. We met Ethan at one of our bottle signings, heard his story and instantly fell in love with his cause" Russ Smith, owner of Mr. & Mrs. Bourbon Company, said.

The single barrel bottle will be released at a special premiere at Patrick O'Shea's on Whiskey Row on Jan. 26, 2024. The Kentuckiana canine will be attending the premiere with his owner, Jeff Callaway.

The bottles of this release are officially sold out; however, you can join the waiting list here. Each bottle will be personalized with his paw print, and each one will be sold for $100.

Officials said all proceeds will go directly to Ethan for the work he does in the community.

Ethan was left emaciated and dying in the parking lot of the Kentucky Humane Society in Louisville back in January 2021.

He weighed just 38 pounds when he should've weighed about 90 pounds and he was severely dehydrated. Veterinarians weren't sure if he'd even make it past the first night.

Now, two years later, Ethan is celebrated by Louisvillians and has been honored in dozens of events benefitting animals and the community.

Smith said this release will officially launch his company-wide single barrel and barrel select programs. This will allow other companies, nonprofits, and bourbon collectors to purchase their own private barrel.

"We are rapidly expanding our brand, and a big part of that has been the demand for single barrels and private selections," Smith said. "We are focused on the quality of our product! People want rare bourbons that are exclusive."
