LMPD seizes 6 bikes, 1 truck under the city's street racing ordinance

If you're found in violation of the ordinance, it's a $1,000 fine and your vehicle is impounded for 6 months.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — It's not just the horses racing around Louisville this Derby week, Louisville Metro Police (LMPD) seized seven vehicles Friday night under the city's street racing ordinance. 

LMPD said they seized six bikes and one truck and plan on seizing more Saturday night. 

If you're found in violation of the ordinance, it's a $1,000 fine and your vehicle is impounded for 6 months.
