Coroner identifies man who died in single-vehicle collision in Indian Hills neighborhood

The 64-year-old man reportedly lost control of his vehicle and struck a tree.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Police are investigating after a man hit a tree in the Indian Hills neighborhood Friday evening.

Louisville Metro Police's Traffic Unit, and the Indian Hills Police Department, responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision around 8 p.m. in the 100 block of Blankenbaker Lane according to officials.

Their preliminary investigation showed Anthony Renfro, 64, driving the vehicle somehow lost control and hit a tree while traveling south police said.

Renfro was the only one in the vehicle according to authorities.

Police said he later died at UofL Hospital.

Authorities said they did not believe weather was a factor in the incident.
