1 dead after fatal shooting near downtown Louisville; What we know

Louisville Metro Police said officers responded to the area of 10th and Broadway around 5 p.m. on reports of a shooting.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A man was dead after a fatal shooting near downtown Louisville on Wednesday.

Louisville Metro Police (LMPD) said officers responded to the area of 10th Street and Broadway around 5 p.m. on reports of a shooting. 

When they arrived, investigators said they found a multi-vehicle crash near the intersection and a man shot inside a vehicle. He died at the scene.

Another man was taken to the hospital; his injuries are unknown at this time police said. They were also working to determine which vehicle he was in.

Police said there are no known suspects.

In a post on social media, authorities had warned drivers to expect delays in the area.
