LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A Louisville Metro Police (LMPD) officer was taken to the hospital with minor injuries Tuesday afternoon after a crash on Dixie Highway.
LMPD said the officer was responding to a call with lights and sirens on when the crash happened near Lower Hunters Trace.
Witnesses told investigators a driver in an SUV hit the officer's cruiser.
The officer was taken to the hospital with head and neck pain police said.
LMPD said the other driver was cited for not having insurance.
