LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A retirement community in Louisville helped celebrate one couple's 70th wedding anniversary.

Joe and Dot Troje got married on Oct. 17, 1953 and have been inseparable ever since. Officials at The Grand Senior Living in east Louisville say Joe and Dot are the epitome of love and spread joy to the entire community.

The Grand Senior Living threw their cherished residents a special ceremony to honor their remarkable journey and highlight the milestones they've achieved together.

Guests who attended the ceremony got to witness touching speeches, toasts, and a community celebrating two beloved fellow residents.

"At The Grand Senior Living, we believe in creating a community and a family. Joe and Dot embody the spirit of enduring love and joy that we strive to foster in our community," Kelsey Hill, executive director of The Grand Senior Living, said. "This 70th anniversary is not just their milestone; it's a celebration for all of us, a reminder that life here is full of love, laughter, and unforgettable moments."

Earlier this year, The Grand Senior Living threw Joe a party for his 100th birthday.
