Highlands restaurant announces reopening, new 'sommergartenparty'

The Grales will have a celebration of friendship featuring food and drinks in the GraleGarten every Thursday through Sunday from July 15 to Aug. 8.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — While Gralehaus and Holy Grale are not yet opened, ownership behind the businesses said they are hosting a "Sommergartenparty" this summer.

The Grales will have a celebration of friendship featuring food and drinks in the GraleGarten every Thursday through Sunday from July 15 to Aug. 8. The event will go from 5-10 p.m., with kölsch night every Thursday and Sunday. The kitchen will close at 9 p.m.

"Thank you for your patience over the past months as we navigate our re-opening plans," The Grales said in its announcement. "There has been so much support and encouragement pouring in and we first just want to say THANK YOU, we appreciate you all so much!"

Gralehaus Café will be open for coffee, breakfast or lunch starting Aug. 16. Weekend brunch service will return Sept. 4. Holy Grale is currently going through renovations, and will not open until the fall.

After closing the Louisville Beer Store in NULU in 2020, The Grales said it will start selling beers again at a new storefront, Grale Goods in early 2022. Grale Goods will be located next to Holy Grale.
