Lego lovers' paradise enters Louisville

The BrickUniverse Lego Fan Convention takes place at the Kentucky International Convention Center Feb. 1-2.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Kentucky International Convention Center takes you to the Death Star, Hogwarts and even Santa's workshop Feb. 1-2 during the BrickUniverse Lego Fan Convention.

A Lego lovers' paradise, the convention features Lego art that details not just your favorite superheros, but iconic architecture and infrastructure. The convention not only shows the New York City skyline and Notre Dame de Paris, but offers looks at life-size traditional art and the chance to see professional artists.

Visitors can see hundreds of displays by award-winning artists from all over the world. They spend months if not years building them, brick by brick.

The idea is for visitors to come and get inspired before heading over to the building zones, where there are thousands of Lego bricks to create original art.

Competitions will be held throughout the weekend, so you're encouraged to spend time with these builders and learn the secrets of mastering the Brick Uniververse.

Tickets are $15 online and $18 at the door. There are two sessions both days, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. To purchase tickets, click this link.
