One person in custody after LMPD SWAT Team called to The Brown Hotel

LMPD is asking the public to avoid the area of 335 West Broadway near the Brown Hotel Wednesday morning.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — One person is in police custody after an incident in downtown Louisville which caused traffic delays Wednesday morning.

At about 3:30 a.m., Louisville Metro police responded to the Brown Hotel at 335 West Broadway, according to an LMPD news release.

The LMPD SWAT Team and LMPD's Hostage Negotiation Team responded to a "person in crisis" in the area.
