LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Both the Derby Festival Marathon and Mini-Marathon take place on Saturday, April 27, and Louisville Metro Police have announced which roads will be closed.
Motorists who frequent downtown Louisville should be prepared for delays, as some streets are slated to close the day before the race begins.
These roads will be closed for the Derby Festival Marathon & Mini-Marathon:
9 a.m. (Friday, April 26, 2024) – 4 p.m. (Saturday, April 27, 2024)
- Adams Street from Campbell Street to Cable Street
4 a.m. – 4 p.m. (Saturday, April 27, 2024)
- Main Street from Jackson Street to Brook Street
- Preston Street from Main Street to River Road
- River Road from Preston Street to Edith Lane (local access to Big Four Bridge)
- Washington Street from Floyd Street to Preston Street
- Witherspoon Street from Floyd Street to Adams Street
- Floyd Street from Witherspoon Street to Main Street
6 a.m. – 4 p.m. (Saturday, April 27, 2024)

The races will start simultaneously at 7 a.m. on Saturday, April 27, on Main Street, near Slugger Field, and then finish on Adams Street, just outside of the Lynn Family Stadium, the Official Finish Line for both the mini and Marathon.
