LINCOLN, Ky. — (WHAS11)-The woman killed after a gas pipeline explosion in Lincoln County early Thursday morning has been identified.
58-year-old Lisa Renee Derringer was killed in the explosion.
Derringer is remembered as a nice woman who was hardworking.
"A hard-working lady she kept her yard mowed and you would see her out doing flowers and she kept a pristine place," Mary Jo Wood, a resident displaced by the gas pipeline explosion, said.
Five people were also injured in the explosion, according to Don Gilliam, director of Lincoln County Emergency Management.

According to the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, a rupture in a 30-inch gas pipeline less than a mile away from U.S. 127 caused an explosion that caught at least six structures on fire. Officials said they are still not sure what caused it. Residents in Moreland and Hustonville have been evacuated.

Congressman Hal Rogers released the following statement concerning the explosion:
“My thoughts and prayers are with the people of Lincoln County and all of the individuals directly impacted at the site of the deadly gas line explosion. The reports of damages and the fiery images are devastating. I have been in close contact with the U.S. Department of Transportation this morning for updates, and my staff and I will continue tracking important information as the investigation begins to identify the cause of the explosion.”
The explosion happened in Rogers' district.
