LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The momentous 150th Kentucky Derby is just days away. With that, comes an influx of travelers at the airport.

At Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport (SDF), officials said they expect a much heavier than normal passenger volume through Derby weekend. To help speed through airport screenings as quickly as possible, the airport is using a new type of lane.

Starting April 24, the Louisville airport will be using CLEAR Mobile Lanes.

According to CLEAR's website, CLEAR Mobile delivers "predictable airport security for travelers" by accessing a dedicated lane at airport security all by showing a QR code.

CLEAR Plus Members can download the free CLEAR app ahead of time and show their QR code for the fastest way to get through security -- all by using their phones. Non CLEAR Plus Members can purchase a day pass online for $9.

CLEAR Mobile doesn't verify your identity so you need to have your ID and boarding pass ready.

Travelers can enroll for CLEAR Plus in-person or online. Children under 18 years old can use the CLEAR Lane for free when accompanied by a CLEAR Plus Member with no enrollment needed.

Officials said CLEAR Mobile Lanes will be available at SDF for several weeks following the Derby.
