Man dies, another injured after shooting in Wilder Park neighborhood

The reported incident happened near Huston Quin Park, around South First Street and East Fairmont Avenue about 9:15 p.m. Saturday.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A man has died after being shot in the Wilder Park neighborhood.

The reported incident happened near Huston Quin Park, around South First Street and East Fairmont Avenue about 9:15 p.m. Saturday.

According to Metro Police, officers found a man shot multiple times in his legs lying in the park.

He was transported to an area hospital and is expected to survive.

LMPD said about 25 minutes later, officers went to Norton Hospital downtown after a man walked in with a gunshot wound.

The man was transferred to UofL Hospital where he later died.

Police believe both victims are connected to the same shooting but are still trying to determine what exactly happened.
