Sherman Minton eastbound lanes set for two week closure beginning Monday

The Sherman Minton Project said the eastbound lanes that cross into Louisville will close at 3 p.m. Monday for concrete work.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Part of the Sherman Minton Bridge is expected to close Monday for more than two weeks.

Eastbound lanes crossing into Louisville will close at 3 p.m. for crews to finish concrete work on the lower deck.

While the lanes are closed, I-265 and I-65 will be used as alternate routes for drivers.

Traffic that bypasses I-265 will not be able to cross the Sherman Minton and will need to exit onto West 5th Street in New Albany to get to I-65 and then get to I-265.

The eastbound lanes of the Sherman Minton are expected to be closed until 5 a.m. on May 20.

The westbound lanes will remain open.
