LOUISVILLE, Ky. — No one was hurt after a car went into a lake in southern Jefferson County.

According to the Zoneton Fire Protection District, they received multiple calls of a car that went into the water at the County Line Pay Lake in the 3100 block of County Line Road on Sunday morning.

Officials said the car had a manufacturers recall where the transmission may shift into neutral on its own.

They believe that’s what caused the car to go into the lake.

Zoneton Fire said the sole occupant of the vehicle was able to safely escape the car.
