HENRY COUNTY, Ky. (WHAS11) – A Henry County woman is facing murder charges after police said she shot and killed her husband while he was asleep.
It happened Sunday night at a home on Troutman Hill Road in Campbellsburg. Kentucky State Police said they were called to the home when a man found his son, 33-year-old Gary Bentley, dead in his bed.
Police arrested his wife, Tasha Bentley, after an autopsy confirmed Bentley died from a gunshot wound to the back of his head.
Police said Tasha claimed she shot her husband after he attacked their four-year-old son and then kicked her.
She remains at the Carroll County Detention Center.
