Juvenile arrested in deadly November shooting in California neighborhood

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Police have arrested a second suspect in the November fatal shooting in the California neighborhood.

Louisville Metro Police Homicide Unit (LMPD), along with their Violent Crime Unit, arrested a juvenile for the Nov. 7, 2023 murder of Paul Pitney in the 1100 block of Dixie Highway. 

The suspect was taken into custody without incident.

The juvenile faces murder and wanton endangerment charges. They are the second person arrested in connection to this crime.

Nearly two weeks ago, Stephen Robinson Jr., 23, was arrested and is facing charges for murder, wanton endangerment and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.

LMPD found Pitney with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to an area hospital but was pronounced dead a short time later.

Robinson was arrested on Friday, Feb. 16 in the 4400 block of Cane Run Road.

He is currently housed in Metro Corrections and is expected to be arraigned on Feb. 26.
