Southern Indiana man arrested in Ohio, charged with murder in Louisville shooting

Shaveon Boyd, 29, is accused of fatally shooting 31-year-old William Kannamore in the Taylor-Berry neighborhood earlier this month.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — An Indiana man accused of fatally shooting a man in the Taylor-Berry neighborhood in Louisville earlier this month was arrested in Ohio over the weekend, according to Louisville Metro Police (LMPD).

On Monday, authorities said 29-year-old Shaveon D. Boyd was charged with murder for a fatal shooting in the 3300 block of Utah Avenue.

Authorities said William Kannamore, 31, was found with multiple gunshot wounds in the Taylor-Berry neighborhood just before 9:30 p.m. on Jan. 9. 

Details about the shooting were limited; however, police said Kannamore was transported to the University of Louisville Hospital for surgery, but later died from his injuries.

An LMPD spokesperson said Boyd, who is from Pekin, Indiana, was arrested in Fayette County, Ohio over the weekend.
