LMPD investigating after teenager shot in Shawnee neighborhood

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A teenager is in the hospital after being shot late Monday night.

According to authorities, officers were called to the 4300 block of West Market Street shortly after 10 p.m.

That's in the Shawnee neighborhood.

When officers arrived, a Louisville Metro Police (LMPD) spokesperson said they found a teenager who had been shot. Officers immediately rendered aid, and he's now at the hospital.

Police said he is expected to survive.

LMPD's Non-Fatal Shooting Squad is handling the investigation.
