Louisville police investigating double shooting involving two separate locations

A man who had been shot showed up at Spinelli's on Baxter Avenue Tuesday morning.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville Metro police are investigating a double shooting Tuesday morning involving two separate locations, one of them a restaurant in the Highlands.

At about 1:30 a.m., a man showed up at Spinelli's on Baxter Avenue with a gunshot wound, but refused treatment or transportation to the hospital, according to an LMPD news release.

Just an hour before the incident, another man was found shot at 26th and Bank streets in the Portland neighborhood. This man was taken to the hospital and officials believe he will survive.

Investigators determined the two scenes and victims were connected, and there was no shooting at Spinelli's. Authorities believe all parties are accounted for.
