1 dead, 2 in critical condition after Jeffersontown shooting

Three people were found shot at about 1 a.m. on Friday.

JEFFERSONTOWN, Ky. — One person is dead and two people are in the hospital in critical condition after a shooting Friday morning in Jeffersontown, Ky.

At about 1 a.m., Jeffersontown Police responded to a shooting in the 9900 block of Taylorsville Road, according to a J-Town Police news release.

Officers found three victims with gunshot wounds. Aljay Williams, 22, was pronounced dead at the scene and the other two victims are currently in the hospital in critical condition.

Police said the shooting stemmed from an argument following a gathering at an apartment.

"This was not a random shooting and all parties involved were known to each other," authorities said.
