Crusade begins shoot for new calendar

The shoot for next year's Crusade Calendar has begun.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – One of the WHAS-TV studios is transforming into more cuteness that one could probably handle.

The shoot for next year’s Crusade Calendar has begun.

The tradition started 10 years ago to help children with special needs and raised nearly $200,000 since.

More than 220 families participated in the last decade and that includes 7-year-old Nia Jackson who had some advice for her fellow featured stars.

“I was in the calendar when I was three-years-old. To be perfect in the calendar, you have to be ready for anything and smiling of course,” she said.

The calendars will be available starting Labor Day.

They can be purchased online at WHASCrusade.org, at the Crusade office or at any Republic Bank.
