The411: Lionel Richie with Earth, Wind & Fire announces their show in Louisville

Two trailblazing artists are teaming up to make an unforgettable evening at the KFC Yum! Center this year.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Two music icons will hit the road for their Sing A Song All Night Long Tour this year. 

Multi-Grammy award winning artists Lionel Richie and Earth, Wind & Fire will make a stop in Louisville on Wednesday, June 12 at the KFC Yum! Center. Tickets go on sale Friday, Jan. 19 at 10:00 a.m. 

Lionel Richie is a current judge on American Idol, and you can watch the show on ABC/WHAS11. 

Richie had both a successful group career with the Commodores in the 1970s and a solo career that started in the 1980s. 

His amazing career has given him four Grammy Awards and even an Academy Award for Best Original Song, ‘Say You Say Me', in the film White Nights. In 2022, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Richie’s hits include ‘Easy’ with the Commodores, and ‘Stuck on You’, 'Say You, Say Me’, ‘All Night Long’, ‘Hello’ and ‘Lady’ in his solo career.    

Earth, Wind & Fire is a six-time Grammy Award winning band with a total of 17 nominations, and they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2000. 

Rolling Stone Magazine said the group “changed the sound of Black pop." VH1 took their accolades one step further and said they are “one of the greatest bands."

Earth, Wind & Fire has a long list of awards but an even longer list of hits like ‘Let’s Groove’, ‘September’, ‘Reasons’, 'Boogie Wonderland’, “After the Love Has Gone,’ and ‘Shining Star’.  

Earth, Wind & Fire is among the best-selling music artists of all time, selling over 90 million records worldwide. 

Lionel Richie with Earth, Wind & Fire will be a party from the beginning to the end with the number of hits they share. This will be a definite sing-a-long taking you down memory lane.
