ROARchestra returns to Louisville Zoo; Here's when

“The return of the event is among the top requests our staff receives," Zoo Director Dan Maloney said.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A special partnership has returned to the Louisville Zoo after a 15-year hiatus.

The ROARchestra, a partnership between the Louisville Zoo and the Louisville Orchestra, is a family-friendly event that combines the joys of the Zoo and orchestra into an unforgettable experience.

“The return of the event is among the top requests our staff receives," Zoo Director Dan Maloney said. "ROARchestra is packed with nostalgia and our patrons have such fond memories of attending incredible live performances at the Zoo. We hope to help our guests create new, even more awesome memories in July with ROARchestra’s return and look forward to growing our partnership with the Louisville Orchestra.”

The doors to the zoo open at 7 p.m. on July 6; adult tickets are $30, children 3 to 11 years old are $15 and kids 2 years and younger can get into the event for free. Parking is including with the admission.

The event will allow guests to explore the zoo or get settled into the Oasis Field.

Teddy Abrams and his orchestra will start playing a mix of classical and pop hits at 8:30 p.m.
