'How-To Festival' to return for 11th year at Louisville Free Public Library

Most "How-To" sessions last around 45 minutes and range anywhere from crafts to gardening to self-defense.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Editor's note: The above video is from the 2023 "How-To Festival" at the Louisville Free Public Library.

If you have ever wondered how to manage a garden, how to create a rug or how to reupholster simple projects, the Louisville Free Public Library (LFPL) is here to help.

LFPL's annual 'How-To Festival' will happen on May 11 a spokesperson for the library said. More than 50 activities will be offered throughout the day.

Most "How-To" sessions last around 45 minutes and range anywhere from crafts to cooking to self-defense. Some kid-friendly activities include how to make shadow puppets, how to sew and how to paint with diamonds.

The festival is free, and it will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Main Library.
