LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville Metro Police (LMPD) have released a list of road closures and restricted areas for Derby this weekend.
The department plans to host a press conference Thursday morning to detail their traffic and security plan for Oaks and Derby. Several areas will be restricted to local access or permitted vehicles.
The restrictions will be in effect from Wednesday, April 28 through Saturday, May 1. Click here for information on how to park at Churchill Downs if you are heading to the track for Derby.
Fourth Street will be closed from Heywood Avenue to Oakdale Avenue from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. each day.
No parking and restricted traffic from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. each day

- Racine Ave. from Taylor Blvd. to Churchill Downs entrance

- Warren Ave. from Thornberry Ave. to Homeview Dr.
- Wizard Ave. from Longfield Ave. to Queen Ave.

- Burton Ave. from Taylor Blvd. to Rodman St.
