LOUISVILLE, Ky. — L& N Federal Credit Union Stadium will be packed on Saturday when the Cardinals and the Wildcats play for the Governor's Cup.

While the University of Kentucky has won the last four games in a row, Cards fans WHAS11 News talked to said the team has a shot.

"[University of Louisville] all the way, Louisville is going to be a favorite at home and they have the better team, they have the talent," fan Kevin Triplett said.

Triplett is counting on the Cards defense to hold the Cats in check. He said UofL has really stepped up this season holding a 10-1 record.

"We've had to come from behind three or four times this year, and it was really our defense that did it," he said.

After a rough few games for the Cats this season, UK fans like Ronnie Fint are still rooting for them to keep the Governor's Cup in Lexington.

"I think after we lost last week, I think they're going to come back and they're going to upset Louisville," he  said.

Although UK has lost five games this season Fint said it's best to keep a close eye on running back Ray Davis.

"Davis; watch him, he's going to run the ball and he's going to do really good," he said.

Bobby Howard agreed; he added UK's quarterback to the list as one of the key players that will help the Cats bring home a win.

"Hopefully Devin Leary, that came from the ACC where UofL is, that he'll play much better than what he did before," said Howard.

Howard's wife Teresa also hopes the Wildcats will win.

"If they can just pull it together and work as a team and concentrate on winning," she said.

But Cards fan Michael Serapigila said it best.

"I just hope it becomes a good game," he said.

Overall, both UofL and UK fans are looking forward to a fun filled weekend and hope their respective teams hoist the trophy high in triumph.
