When will Kentucky, Indiana have its next solar eclipse?

The next big one for the United States is Aug. 12, 2045. Here's when the next total solar eclipse will be viewable in Kentucky and Indiana.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Great American Eclipse of 2024 is now behind us. You will have to travel if you would like to see another one any time soon! Another eclipse will not be in Kentucky or Indiana in any of our lifetimes, in the year 2153.

The next notable Eclipse will be in Greenland, Iceland, and Spain in 2026.

Northern Africa and the Saudi Peninsula will see the celestial wonder in 2027, then Austrailia and New Zealand in 2028.

Only two years later, Africa and Austrailia will be graced again with a total solar eclipse.

Checking a little closer to home, the next eclipse in the United States will not be here until August of 2044. However, it will only be seen from two states.

That 2044 eclipse will run through Greenland, Canada and into Montana and North Dakota. The following year you will see a total eclipse cross from California to Florida, which is far more accessible to millions of Americans as compared to 2044's.
