The411 with Sherlene Shanklin: Every Thursday at 11:35 a.m. I go on 1350 WLOU and 104.7 to give some of the top events going on in Kentucky and Southern Indiana. I'm on Krystal 'Miss Krystal' Goodner's midday show. We discuss what's going on in our community. I also provide some information about concerts and events just announced to give listeners an opportunity to purchase tickets early.

Today, we discussed the following events:

Saturday at Central High School from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. it's the 4th Youth Alert Event and Forum. It's a free event where leaders will talk about youth violence prevention.

The National Wheelchair Basketball Association Championship will be held in Louisville April 3rd through 6th. They need volunteers. If you are interested call 456-8148.

There's a new exhibit at the Shawnee Arts and Cultural Center. 'Leaving footprints' is an exhibit featuring nine teen artists. The exhibit runs through May 27th.

Rapper Lil Boosie will perform Friday, May 2nd at Broadbent Arena.

The Ohio Players and Lakeside will be at a free concert during the Kentucky Derby festival Fest-a-Ville. They will be at the Waterfront on Tuesday, April 29th.

Ms. Plus America Pageant is Saturday in Frankfort and there will be two ladies from this area representing Louisville and Jefferson County. I will have the honor of announcing this year's winner.

Before I head to Frankfort. I will travel to Indianapolis for the Commonwealth Clash. It's the rematch that basketball fans in this area have been waiting on. The University of Kentucky and the University of Louisville will play around 9:45 p.m.
