LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – A 2-year-old has died after an apparent drowning in southwest Jefferson County.
Metro Police says officers responded to the 7800 block of St. Andrews Church Road after 2-year-old Samantha Cook was found unresponsive in a pool.
Police say Cook was in the pool with two other pre-teens.
She was transported to Norton Children’s Hospital where she later died.
According to police, Cook and the pre-teens did not live at that location.
The LMPD Homicide Unit is investigating.
