LMPD: Man shot in the arm in Portland neighborhood

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A Louisville man was found shot in the arm in the Portland neighborhood early Sunday morning.

Officers with Louisville Metro Police's First Division responded to a report of a shooting in the 2900 block of Garfield Ave. around 2:30 a.m.

At the scene, police found a man outside suffering from a gunshot wound to the arm.

LMPD said he was taken to the University of Louisville Hospital, and is expected to survive his injuries.

The department's Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is handling the investigation, which remains ongoing at this time. There are no known suspects.
