Inclusive playground opens in Charlestown

The inclusive playground at Greenway Park features designs allowing children with mobility issues to join in on the fun.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — An all new inclusive playground has opened at Greenway Park in Charlestown, Indiana.

The inclusive playground features designs allowing children with mobility issues to join in on the fun like an ADA transfer station to easily remove wheelchairs and walkers to an elevated platform, inclusive swing sets and an inclusive “revolution spinner.”

The playground also has a climb and crawl structure, interactive sensory panels and rubber safety surfacing throughout.

The park was made possible by a grant from Quality of Place – Pathways to Progress and they say they’re almost ready to announce their next projects coming to Kentuckiana in in the future.
