Free 4th of July celebrations around Kentuckiana

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The 4th of July is day filled with celebrations of independence - plus plenty of cookouts and fireworks. If you're looking for a place to party like it's 1776, there are some great - and free! - community events in Kentucky and Indiana on the 4th.

Locust Grove Independence Day Celebration

When: 10:00 a.m. – 4:30 a.m.

What: Hear readings of the Declaration of Independence and other family-friendly activities

When: 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Where: Warder Park, 109 E. Court Avenue
What: Watch the Independence Day Parade, then enjoy a special program featuring remarks from veterans and officials, songs, and the awarding of parade trophies.
