LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Residents in the California neighborhood are celebrating as the beginning of phase two of Victory Park’s revitalization project is underway.
The park has been undergoing renovations after falling into despair over the years.
Metro Council, Olmstead Properties and the community put more than a $1 million into investments to continue revitalizations.
Phase two will include a new playground and spray ground.
Officials made the announcement during the Victory Park Day celebration.
Financial support for the project is coming from multiple sources including Humana, PNC Foundation and Kosair Charities.
