Taylor's case continues to grab the nation's attention, as celebrities and activists honor her on her birthday.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — People across the world are honoring Breonna Taylor on what would have been her 27th birthday.

Celebrities like Oprah Winfrey, Beyonce and Cardi B made posts honoring Taylor on social media, asking for justice in her case and reminding others to #SayHerName."

"In our fight to remind the world that Black Lives Matter, we need to remember those Black lives also include Black women," Winfrey said on Instagram. "So on what would’ve been her 27th birthday today, let’s speak her name: Breonna Taylor."

Beyoncé also posted art made by user Gracie Lee on Taylor's birthday that reads, "Happy Birthday Beautiful Breonna." She shared the JusticeForBreonna website on her own website, linked in her Instagram bio.

Taylor's death is one of three cases in 2020 that grabbed the country's attention, though celebrities and protesters have maintained that her death has garnered less notice.

"Please don't forget #Breonna Taylor," Bernice King, daughter of civil rights leaders Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King, tweeted May 31.

Rapper Cardi B posted Taylor's picture on her Twitter Friday, saying she will not stop fighting until Taylor gets justice.

"Kentucky police department really tried to sweep her case under the rug,but [GOD] is BIG," she tweeted.

Singer John Legend also wrote an op-ed for Entertainment Weekly wishing Taylor a happy birthday, and asking that people #SayHerName.

"Today I use my platform to demand justice for this essential person, this woman, daughter, sister, and friend," Legend wrote. "While her loved ones need to be indeed in our prayers on this hard day, we also must commit to never stop fighting for justice in her name."

Unlike in recent days, protests in Louisville have grown throughout the night, as health care professionals, teachers, students and her own family continue to demonstrate.
