Authorities investigating fatal east Louisville collision that killed 1 person, sent another to hospital

First responders responded to calls of a crash near the intersection of Westport Road and Lyndon Lane around 12:25 p.m. on Monday investigators said.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Lyndon Police is investigating a fatal collision that killed one person and sent another person to the hospital on Monday.

On Tuesday, the Jefferson County Coroner's Office identified the victim as 35-year-old Donald Wright. 

According to authorities, first responders, including police officers and St. Matthews Fire and EMS, responded to a car crash that happened near the intersection of Westport Road and Lyndon Lane around 12:25 p.m.

That's in the Graymoor/Devondale neighborhood.

When they arrived, police said they found out multiple cars were involved.

EMS transported one person to the hospital. Wright died at the scene, investigators said.

It's unclear what the extent of the victim's injuries are.

Lyndon Police did request assistance from Louisville Metro Police's Traffic Unit, but Lyndon Police will be handling the investigation according to authorities.
