FRANKFORT, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Kentucky Attorney General Andy Beshear says that Governor Matt Bevin violated the Open Records Act in blocking some people from his Facebook and Twitter accounts.

The complaint filed by the ACLU in September took exception to how the governor's office filters what it considers "profane, obscene or clearly off-topic comments."

Governor Bevin's press secretary released a statement explaining that they will appeal the decision and "It's no surprise that the Attorney General continues to politicize the Open Records Act and ignore prior opinions from his office."
