LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Kentucky State Police are investigating after two people were killed in a Friday night crash in Marion County.
KSP says it happened just after 11 p.m. on East Lovers Lane, just west of Lebanon.
According to their initial report, 18-year-old David Lawson was driving east in a Ford pickup truck when he lost control and hit a tree.
Lawson was pronounced dead at the scene.
Shelby Goode, 21, was a passenger in the truck and was airlifted to the hospital but later died.
Officials say another passenger, a 19-year-old male, was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
According to police, none of the occupants were wearing seatbelts.
At this time, it's still unclear what caused the crash.
