LMPD officer injured in Valley Station crash

The LMPD officer sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital. The other driver involved suffered minor injuries.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — According to LMPD, an officer was involved in an injury car collision around 5 a.m. Sunday. 

The collision took place at the intersection of Seville Dr. and Granada Dr. in Valley Station. 

LMPD's preliminary investigation indicates the officer was traveling south on Seville Dr. and was approaching the intersection with Granada Dr., when the officer collided with a car that was traveling east on Granada. 

The officer sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to University of Louisville Hospital. The driver of the other vehicle sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene. 

LMPD is investigating the matter at this time.
