Broken vows continue with wedding photographer

Most, if not all the brides, who originally reached out to us on Facebook, say they're still waiting and they don't expect to get their finished and framed up wedding memories in time for the Holidays.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- "Broken Vows" now looking like more broken promises.

Before our I-Team investigation of Christine Cherry Photography aired, Cherry made a promise to WHAS11’s John Charlton that long overdue wedding albums and prints would be delivered to dozens of brides by Thanksgiving.

The vast majority of those brides, if not all of them, report that they are still waiting and are not hopeful that their finished product will arrive by the Holidays.

"I just want my stuff," Danielle Dowell said. Her wedding was August 28, 2015, and her patience is now gone.

In fact, after our first story aired, Dowell texted Cherry to say that she was happy to know that her product would arrive by Thanksgiving, and warned Cherry that she would reach out to WHAS11 if that didn't happen. Cherry's response, "Do not contact me again, it is my pleasure to deliver on your product, I will not tolerate you or your sad husband's harassment."

Several brides have taken legal action against Cherry.

She was the photographer at Nicole Mefford's September 19, 2015, wedding as well as her sister's. Their father filed a complaint in Jefferson County, Kentucky for the $4000 he paid for Cherry’s services.

"I requested to have my albums and prints done in April and it's now December," Mefford said.

There's a $900 judgment against Cherry in Floyd County, Indiana, as well as a court order to bring her in for not showing up in court. Tuesday in Floyd County, a judge ordered Cherry to pay $3400 plus court fees, and again she didn't appear.

"I want to warn people, I don't care about the refund, I don't care about the money anymore," Mefford said.
