Here are the top 10 selling Dairy Queen Blizzard flavors in 2017

Most of the top-selling flavors are classics that have been around for a while, but the company usually mixes in a few new flavors each year.

(Louisville Business First) - Dairy Queen introduced the Blizzard in 1985 and it has become a $1 billion worldwide brand that accounts for nearly a quarter of its sales, International Dairy Queen Inc. CEO Troy Bader said in a recent interview.

Most of the top-selling flavors are classics that have been around for a while, but the company usually mixes in a few new flavors each year.

Dairy Queen, which is owned by Omaha-based Berkshire Hathaway Inc. (NYSE: BRK.A), recently announced its summer Blizzard menu for 2018. It has two former favorites returning: S'mores (Bader's favorite) and Cotton Candy. There's also a Summer Berry Cheesecake and Jurassic Chomp Chocolate (which will tie into the Jurassic World 2 launch in June) flavors.
