LIST | These JCPS students will not have access to bus services next school year

A stipend program for families of students who no longer have access to bus services is also in the works, JCPS officials said.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS) is now sharing which students and schools will be impacted by the district's new transportation plan for next school year.

The district's Board of Education voted 4-3 in support of the plan, which is cutting bus services to all magnet and traditional schools with some exceptions, arguing it could help increase the number of bus drivers coming to JCPS.

On Friday, the district shared a letter to parents clarifying which schools would be impacted by the new plan.

If your student is no longer receiving transportation, officials said your school's principal will provide more information next week. The district said that will include information about a stipend program for families of students who no longer have access to JCPS busing options.
