Man arrested after woman shot in Iroquois neighborhood

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A woman is in the hospital after she was shot Wednesday night in Louisville's Iroquois neighborhood.

At about 11:50 p.m., Louisville Metro police responded to a shooting in the 1300 block of Shingo Avenue, according to an LMPD news release.

Officers on scene found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound. She was taken to UofL Hospital where officials say they believe she will survive.

Johnny Minton, 35, was arrested and charged with assault (2nd degree) and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon in relation to the above incident.
