Coroner identifies man killed in Shelby Park shooting

There are currently no known suspects.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A man is dead after he was shot Saturday afternoon in Louisville's Shelby Park neighborhood. 

Louisville Metro Police (LMPD) responded to a call of a shooting in the 1300 block of South Preston Street around 4:30 p.m. 

When officers arrived, they said they found Jeffery Wilson, 29, had been shot. He received fatal injuries and was pronounced dead on the scene. 

LMPD's Homicide Unit is leading this investigation. There are currently no known suspects and police are asking for the public's help.
