LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A Louisville man is facing an attempted murder charge after police claim he shot another man multiple times earlier this month and tried to run him over.

Louisville Metro police arrested 37-year-old Turner Rondell Monday and charged him with attempted murder and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. He was wanted for shooting another man on Jan. 10.

According to an arrest citation, LMPD officers located a male victim who had been shot multiple times in the area of West Chestnut and South 24th streets just before 11 p.m. on Jan. 10. The suspect was seen on video shooting the victim, who was fleeing on foot, and then standing over the victim and firing multiple shots.

Police say Rondell then returned to a vehicle and attempted to run the victim over.

The victim is still receiving medical care for his injuries.
