LMPD looking for driver involved in deadly hit-and-run on Lexington Road; Victim identified

An LMPD spokesperson said it happened just before 6:30 p.m. on Thursday on Lexington Road at Payne Street.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville Metro Police is looking for a vehicle that was involved in a deadly hit-and-run that happened on Lexington Road in Louisville's Irish Hill neighborhood.

An LMPD spokesperson said it happened just before 6:30 p.m. on Thursday on Lexington Road at Payne Street.

When officers arrived, LMPD said they found a man in the road who had been hit by a vehicle.

The coroner's office identified the man as 32-year-old Michael Allen.

Authorities said a vehicle was traveling west on Lexington Road when the driver hit him and kept going.

Allen later died at the hospital according to authorities.
