Coroner identifies man who died in shooting at Dosker Manor

Police said the victim was found at the housing facility around 6 p.m. Saturday.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A deadly shooting of a man near downtown Louisville has prompted an investigation by Metro Police.

According to police, officers responded to the 400 block of East Muhammad Ali Boulevard at Dosker Manor around 6 p.m. Saturday.

Officers had found 32-year-old Daniel West suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

He was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died of his injuries.

Police do not have any suspects in this case.
