LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Louisville Zoo is in the running for the title of best zoo and best zoo exhibit in the country.
The Zoo announced on its social media platforms that it is nominated for "Best Zoo" and "Best Zoo Exhibit" for the USA Today 10Best Readers' Choice Awards.
The exhibit being considered for best zoo exhibit is Glacier Run, which houses the polar bears, grizzly bears, sea lions, and other animals that would enjoy a tundra environment.
This isn't the first time Glacier Run has been considered for an award. In 2012, the Louisville Zoo received Top Honors in the Association of Zoos & Aquariums Award for Exhibit Design for the Glacier Run exhibit.
