LOUISVILLE, Ky. — If you're in the market for a 19-century colonial revival mansion just outside of Louisville, you're in luck! "The Bellewood" is for sale on Zillow and could be yours for a cool $3.45 million.

When you walk up to this grand estate, you are met with four massive Doric columns, a circular limestone and brick driveway and a thirty-foot fountain imported from Belgium.

The Bellwood was originally built by John Bayless in 1869 as a summer home in Anchorage, Ky., according to the Zillow listing. The second owner, Charles Ross, with help from locally-famous architect Fredrick Morgan, expanded and transformed the mansion in 1929.

The current owner of the home purchased the Bellewood 15 years ago and brought it into the 21st century, carefully restoring historic elements of the home while making necessary updates and changes.

As you enter the Bellewood, you will see impressive 14-foot ceilings, random-width hardwood floors, extensive crown molding and fine architectural details throughout the home.

Located at 1116 Bellewood Road, the grand, three-story home sits on a 9.31-acre lot and has eight bedrooms, five bathrooms, five fireplaces, a four-car garage and a three-stall stable.

Two of the most striking rooms in the house are the Gumwood-paneled library with floor-to-ceiling bookcases and the enormous dining room with a hand-painted Zuber wall mural.

Despite the vintage look of the home, the plumbing, electric and HVAC system have all been updated. The owners even had a sound system and security system installed.

The primary bedroom on the second floor has a spectacular view of the lush landscape of the property. The main bedroom also has an ensuite bath and dressing area.
