50 teams compete in Kentucky Derby Festival Great Bed Races 2024

Teams gathered at Broadbent Arena to push their decorated beds around a figure eight course and competed for the fastest time during the 35th annual Great Bed Race.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — One of the more unique traditions returned on Monday for the Kentucky Derby Festival.

Teams gathered at Broadbent Arena to push their decorated beds around a figure eight course and competed for the fastest time during the 35th annual Great Bed Race.

This year's race featured 50 different teams.

Texas Roadhouse, who has participated in the event for 13 years, won first place in the "Champion's Division" this year.

Samtec got second place, and Best-One Louisville Tire Service Center reached third place.

As for the "Fun Division," Samtec got first place, following by ZEON in second and Louisville Paving and Construction in third place.
